My Sentence Is Over!!

My 16 months on Dominica are now finished. I have served my time on the Rock and I'm ready to come home. One more night here; then tomorrow, I'll be flying back to the States and real food. I can't wait to sleep in my own bed, drive and have things to do.

Almost off the Rock!!!

Because of the business of life down here and the wonderful internet service, I have not been able to post anything. So here are a few highlights from this semester:

1. I learned how to perform physical exams.
2. Earthquakes
3. Thunderstorms in Dominica like to occur in the middle of the night and are really, really loud.
4. When we learned how to do the pelvic exam I was placed up in the stirrups.
5. Still waiting to try mountain chicken. It's been out of season.
6. Online shopping is a good way to pass the time in class.
7. Random websites are a good way to pass the time in class.

All in all, Dominica is a very beautiful island, which I never got to experience. I'll miss the natural beauty, but not the heat and humidity. I'm look forward to real food and real roads and things to do. But this was something I need to experience. See you all in the States!!
